Jayne Shillabeer - Body Control Pilates teacher
After studying and training with Body Control Pilates® (BCP) in London, Jayne Shillabeer became a member of the Body Control Pilates Association and Register of Exercise Professionals. She completed many hours of training with Liz Davis, a highly regarded Pilates teacher and one of the BCP Supervising Teachers in Norfolk and was inspired to start teaching after attending classes with Karen Grinter, the BCP Regional Coordinator in the Midlands. Karen and her team of professional Pilates Teachers at Northants Pilates also provided many hours of teacher training to Jayne where she got to work with a range of clients.
Mark Shillabeer – Balanced Body Pilates Teacher
Mark studied and trained in Movement Principles and as a Mat Instructor with Keeley Craigie, Balanced Body Master Instructor for the UK. Mat work is the foundation of the Pilates method. The Balanced Body Mat program includes the full repertoire of Pilates exercises, along with modifications and variations to make a program successful for a wide range of clients. By incorporating the Balanced Body Movement Principles, Mark is empowered to teach transformative Pilates. Balanced Body is an international brand that has always believed that mindful movement like Pilates changes people’s lives. Their passion for positive change has resulted in them becoming the world’s largest provider of Pilates equipment and education.
Jayne & Mark will teach you how to focus on moving your own body more efficiently in order to achieve its full potential and to relieve many of the common ailments associated with poor posture and poor muscle recruitment patterns.
They both continue to develop their teaching and understanding of Joseph Pilates’ methods and regularly attend training courses focused on Pilates exercises and adaptations and movement and conditions of the body. The teaching method is one of verbal, visual and tactile cues, aimed to give you the tools to learn self-correction of posture and movement. They believe in movement being the key to freedom, both physically and mentally and are passionate about helping people achieve full movement potential in order to lead full and active lives.
